Glenaire Creative Residency

Applications are now open.

At Glenaire, we believe that creativity flourishes when there's time, space and room to breathe.

This August, we'll invite one artist, writer or maker to spend four quiet nights immersed in the Otways. Our secluded cottages, each with their own unique outlook across the surrounding landscape, offer the opportunity to step away from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with the creative process.

Whether you spend your days painting, writing, photographing, illustrating, making, or simply observing, we hope Glenaire becomes part of your work in a way that only time and place can.

What the residency includes:

Four nights' accommodation at Glenaire Cottages. during the month of  August.

Time and space to immerse yourself in your creative practice.

The freedom to explore the Otways and respond to the surrounding landscape.

In return

We're asking you to donate one original piece inspired by your time at Glenaire to become a permanent part of The Glenaire Collection.

During your short-stay  residency, we invite you to document some of your creative journey, sharing the moments, observations and inspiration behind your work.

Over time, The Glenaire Collection will grow into an evolving collection of artworks and creative responses, allowing future guests to experience this place through the eyes of the artists who have spent time here.
